TL;DR – We save you money on tickets without selling your data. We gather only what's needed to spot junk fees, secure your account, and improve the extension. Opt‑out, download, or delete your info anytime.
Why Privacy Matters Here
We shine a light on murky ticket prices—your privacy deserves the same clarity:
- We don't sell or rent your personal data. Revenue comes from affiliate commissions and premium features—not data brokering.
- Minimal collection, maximal control. Everything we collect is listed below and can be toggled in Settings.
- You share, you share in the upside. When our fee‑fighting smarts save you (or earn us) money, we pass those benefits straight back to you.
What This Policy Covers
This Policy describes how TruFare AI Inc. ("TruFare," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website trufare.ai, browser extension, mobile apps, and any related tools or features (collectively, the Services). For data‑protection laws, TruFare AI Inc. is the data controller.
Using the Services means you agree to this Policy. Not cool with that? Please discontinue use.

We never collect or store full payment‑card numbers, bank‑account info, or other financial credentials.
We also create de‑identified aggregates (e.g., "average NBA ticket fee = 26%"). These cannot identify you and help us publish fee‑transparency reports.
How We Use Your Info
- Perform our contract with you (Terms of Service).
- Keep the Service safe and functional (legitimate interest).
- Send product updates or offers you've opted into (consent).
- Comply with legal obligations.
When We Share (Rarely)
- Service providers – hosting, analytics, fraud prevention (under NDA).
- Merchant & affiliate partners – limited order data to credit savings and commissions.
- Professional advisors – auditors, legal counsel, accountants (confidentiality bound).
- Business transfers – if we're acquired or merged, with prior notice to you.
- Legal & safety – to comply with law or protect rights and safety.
We never share raw browsing history, personal chat logs, or financial data with advertisers.
Cookies & Tracking
TruFare uses first‑party cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure anonymous usage. You can manage these through your browser and our in‑site Cookie Preferences banner. Blocking cookies may limit key features (e.g., auto‑apply coupons). Our site does not yet respond to "Do Not Track" signals.
Data Security
We protect data in transit and at rest using industry‑standard encryption, enforce least‑privilege access, run regular security audits, and operate a bug‑bounty program. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to keep your information safe.
Data Retention
- Active accounts: We retain account data while your account is open.
- After deletion: We purge or anonymise residual personal data within 90 days, unless law requires longer retention.
- Aggregated analytics: Kept indefinitely for fee‑trend reporting.
Your Controls & Choices
- Settings Panel – Toggle price prediction, merchant alerts, or anonymised analytics.
- Cookie Preferences – Fine‑tune or reject cookies via our banner/tool.
- Email Unsubscribe – One click at the bottom of any marketing message.
- Download My Data – Export a zip of all personal data we hold.
- Delete My Account – Remove data via Settings or by emailing us.
California Privacy Rights (CCPA & "Shine the Light")
If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal data we collect, request deletion, opt‑out of "sales" (we don't sell data), and receive equal service even after exercising these rights. To exercise any California rights, email privacy@trufare.ai or use the in‑app Privacy Center.
International Users & Data Transfers
We're U.S.‑based. By using TruFare, you consent to transfers to the U.S. and other jurisdictions that may have different privacy laws. Where required (e.g., EU/UK), we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and similar safeguards.
EU/UK Residents
You have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, port, or object to processing of your personal data. Contact us via the channels below; we'll respond within 30 days.
Kids
TruFare is for adults 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you're a parent who believes your child has provided data, contact us and we'll delete it.
Updates to This Policy
We'll post changes here and update the date above. For significant updates, we'll display a banner in the extension or email you.
